The boat will dock at the eastern most boat ramp where the American Queen and Duchess regularly dock. This one made 31 trips to Omaha Beach during the Normandy Landing. It is 328 feet long and 50 feet wide. It has three decks and carries a crew of 50 men.
At the east end of the park there will be a book fair and tables set up by various historical societies. Authors Eddie Price, Marshall Myers and Susan Dyer will be attending as well as others. The book fair is sponsored by The Meade County History Museum.
Beginning at the west end of the park where Main Street ends at the river, there will be a car show sponsored by Angel Tree Ministries. Food vendors will be available. This should be a fun filled weekend where you can see and touch history.
